Reed is an A/B-side release charting Pike's experimentation with Christopher Tignors' Mnemonice software, whilst writing his second album. The tracks became independent from his next LP, offering a unique sound from the album's other tracks. He soon decided to record them live in his garden studio and release them on 7" Vinyl and digitally through a Pledge Music funding campaign. The release also heralds the beautiful photographic work of San Francisco based artist Heather Polley, whose "Abbotts Lagoon" adorns the front cover of the record.
