Breathe is a track I wrote a few years ago in a brief moment whilst waiting for something or someone, and without intentionally trying to write anything. As I listened back to the piano riff, I immediately connected with it's nuances and repetition. It felt like it needed an additional sound which is where the bowed guitar came in a few weeks later. I love how these instant, semiconscious moments lead to tracks that seem unfettered by the writing process and bypass all the normal work. Both tracks seem to carry a sense of space and connection to a greater reality. The cover image was taken during a recent trip to the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales; a place of remote and raw beauty. The light on this peninsula is spectacular, always shifting and revealing ever changing landscapes.
